New measures open up Government contracts to local SME’s

Minister for the Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, has outlined radical new measures that will be welcome news to small businesses in the West Midlands.

Under the new measures the public sector is now required to pay undisputed invoices within 30 days to help ease the cash flow of smaller businesses.  In addition the measures will open up Government contracts to local SME’s through a refresh of its Contracts Finder website The site covers current and future public sector contracts, and enables businesses to search for contracts local to them and is free to use.
